Must Love... Celebrity Bloggers

I love a good blog, and if you're reading this than obviously so do you (hehe). But even more so, I love a good celebrity blog. I like reading words and opinions that come straight from a favourite actress, model or fashionista. It's refreshing to be able to see a small glimpse of who they really are, away from the characters they play or the persona they put on in the public eye. It's nice to see they really are just normal people with jobs that put them on a pedestal.

So here are a few of my favourite celeb blogs of late:

1. So Delushious

This is the blog of American model, Chrissy Teigen (also girlfriend to John Legend). Her blog is a smart, funny and very witty review of food - meals she has cooked, restaurants she has eaten at, and other beautiful recipes she has found. There are also some really cute pictures of her new French bulldog puppy.

2. Hello Giggles

This cute site was founded by actress/musician/all-round-queen-of-kitsch Zooey Deschanel, producer Sophia Rossi and writer Molly McAleer. They describe themselves as being "the ultimate entertainment destination for smart, independent and creative females. Everything hosted on the site will be lady-friendly, so visitors need not worry about finding the standard Boys Club content that makes many entertainment sites unappealing to so many of us."

They feature clips from the reality shows they are crushing on, write articles condemning anyone stupid enough to demean feminism and feature cool little knick knacks like this pick-maker - it can create a new-beaut guitar pick from any pick-worthy material, e.g. old credit cards.

3. Bethany Joy Galeotti
For those of you who are not die-hard One Tree Hill fans, Bethany plays one of the main characters, Haley. Over the years we have seen Haley grow from an awkward geeky teen, to a beautiful wife, mother and sister who is all class. And gosh, did we envy the fact she got to be married to Nathan.

This blog really shows who Bethany is, she lets readers in on what her plans are for the weekend, what she considers to be her favourite TV shows (other than her own) and what book she currently can't put down. She also does some cute sections like Wardrobe Wednesdays where she posts a photo of her outfit for the day and This Weekend in Collage.
4. Nicole Richie

This modern day icon's blog not only showcases her latest forays into fashion, but also recommends some great summer tunes, and features a video of her in a dance-off to Britney Spears music!

Must Love... Rosie's Lemon Butter Breakfast

What do you get when you combine lemon butter crepes, a great cup of coffee and family? A near perfect Sunday, that’s what!

Last weekend mum, Marnie and I headed to Noosa for breakfast by the river at cute as a button café Rosie’s, filled with bright paintings, kitschy salt and pepper shakers, a great collection of vintage teapots and most importantly beautiful food.

I had lemon butter crepes with a healthy dollop of cream and they tasted like heaven. I also sampled mum’s corn and ricotta fritters topped with bacon and a poached egg and can confirm it is also delicious.

We then topped off the morning by exploring the local bookshop, filled with cute little gifts and cards and complete with its own little café attached. Hastings Street was our last stop of the day, and even though the Sebel and Sheridan looked inviting I didn’t want to be anywhere else but with my beautiful family.

Must Love... Finder Keepers Brisbane A/W 2011

How did I spend my weekend you ask? Browsing artsy stalls, picking up prints for my new apartment, listening to breezy tunes and eating cupcakes under pretty bunting strung overhead at the Finders Keepers markets.

It was a lovely day had at the Old Museum with my beautiful friend Danielle, and a much needed catch up was had with Sew and Bird who were down for the weekend.

The rest of my afternoon was spent reminiscing of fond memories had with old friends and listening to Danielle’s boyfriend strum his guitar and croon out some old favourites.

And then it was time for dinner in the city. Glasses of wine were consumed, as was coffee spiked with a little alcohol. Steaks were served alongside vegetable risotto and sizzling fajitas. Apple crumble and the most perfect pecan pie topped of a marvelous night.

I love my friends and my soon-to-be new city of residence.

Must Love... Zara

When I was overseas one of my favourite things to do was browse all of the amazing shops that haven't yet branched out to Australia. One of my top picks was definitely Zara - it was in every city we went to! So when I heard the news that this fashion powerhouse was crossing the ocean and coming to our shores I was beyond excited.

Zara has something for everyone - classic pieces to suit any age, edgy animal prints, perfectly fitted blazers and is always on trend.

My love only grew when I discovered this new addition to their website. ‘People’ showcases Zara collaborating with everyday fashiony people. All you have to do is create a look with at least two main items from their Spring/Summer 2011 collection, put on a fabulous photo shoot, upload your best shots and each week a number of candidates are selected to be published on the website. And the best bit, you ask? If your photo is selected you receive €300!

Sounds like something I could do… Hold on, I’m just booking a flight to Sydney.
